We are writing to inform you of the need to repair one of our jetties at Seal Sands, which may affect your shipping operations at our Seal Sands Terminal.

Due to a recent incident that caused significant damage to the fendering on our Jetty 2, the smaller of our two jetties at Seal Sands, we are obliged to take it out of service to make the necessary repairs.  Tidal restrictions have decided the timing of the operation, which is scheduled to take place over a period of 30 days from the 9th May.

During this period, whilst our larger jetty, Jetty 1, will be available as normal, you may experience additional traffic which impacts upon your shipping operations.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause you. Please be assured that we are doing everything possible to minimise the duration of these essential works.  If you could please confirm that you have received this information by return of email, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. As always, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or if there is anything we can do to assist.

 Yours faithfully,

David Lyon – Terminal Manager
