Former Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Chairman Kevin Shakesheff recently assisted current Chairman Tony Dixon by launching the new East India Branch of the ICS in Kolkata, India.
The East India Branch combines the strength of the existing highly successful Chennai Branch with local support from members in Kolkata.
Mr Shakesheff was asked to undertake the trip as during his time as Chairman he built up many contacts on the Asian continent. The trip consisted of spending several days in Kolkata, also helping with exam invigilation and assisting in the process of the formation of the new entity.
