The publication ‘This is Tees Valley 2023 – 24’ was launched at Wynyard Hall earlier in July and Casper Customs MD, Nikki Sayer was invited to speak on the panel to discuss the exciting opportunities in the Tees Valley including Teesside Freeport, and why those from outside the region should consider investigation investing here.
Nikki spoke about the role Casper Customs has played in making the UK’s first Freeport and custom zone available for businesses, where normal tax and customs rules do not apply which therefore gives organisations a competitive advantage in their sector by keeping costs lower.
Casper Customs and Nikki were praised at the event by Ben Houchen, Tees Valley Mayor, who said that Nikki and the team’s contribution, working hand in hand with HMRC had provided the framework for the rest of the UK’s Freeport regulations.
